Filia 2023
FiLiA runs the largest annual grassroots feminist conference in Europe. We are a Women-led Volunteer organisation and part of the Women’s Liberation Movement. Our vision is a world free from patriarchy where all women and girls are liberated.
A Nasty Piece of Work : The Art of Dissident Feminists
This exhibition features the art of women who oppose the quest to construct or remake what it means to be a woman. Through a diverse range of practices and perspectives, the artists in A Nasty Piece of Work are unified in their belief in women's liberation and the real.
The Bigger Picture
“The Bigger Picture” brought together leading lights from across the gender space. Attendees met experts from many fields holding a myriad of perspectives: eminent scientists, researchers, lawyers, doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, sociologists, educators, feminists, and some well-known detransitioners challenged the evidence base for gender medicine and described the widespread damage that gender identity ideology has wrought. Presentations, panel discussions, debates and a live-streaming of the podcast Gender: A Wider Lens ensured that all sides of this complex issue were addressed.
Genspect intends this to be the first of a series of counter-conferences to EPATH/WPATH, as they continue to confront EPATH, an organisation that brooks no debate and incorrectly insists that the “science is settled.” This is why “The Bigger Picture” conference took place in Killarney; the EPATH/WPATH conference was happening just down the road.
